The Little Things

That can bring the most cheers

A friendly face of an unknown can mark a day.

A gesture of support, of a life decision

To have a stress-free day at work

There's a lot at play.

Hugs and kisses from a grandchild

Lifts consciousness and spirit.

A slow drive alone, reminiscing

About the first car, first kiss

Produces gratitude and zeal

Obliging the journey’s heartfelt past and present.
