When You’re Young
Everything is totally fun.
Experiencing life for the first time
Defining yourself is taking shape.
Innocent loves, jobs and friendships,
Come and go within the twenty-four.
When you’re young, the consequences hit hard,
Or bypass by a hair.
Carefree attitudes on living can spill over easily,
As camouflaged confidence.
When you’re young, what may have been instilled, in due time
Can take its toll exposing truths
When all is fully distilled.
hope you enjoyed the reading,
M. Steven
