The Only One In The World

I'm sure that going through our daily activities, sometimes we meet a  "human force", of self importance. The I come first persona. My time is more valuable then yours attitude. We see it in parking lots, on checkout lines and driving on any road in the USA. Besides what is obvious here, the force deserves some empathy... why? because we are bigger than the one, and being the only one, eventually leads to a strict continuance of lonely solitude.

Inspire Someone

Some days we wake up feeling purposeful, our energy is magnetic and consuming. This is the time when you can give to humanity in a positive way, who ever you may encounter its that particular moment that you are in synergy with those you meet. Speak to their spirit, give heartfelt encouragement and always offer honest and sincere advice. Because, that is the time when both your worlds intersect in compassionate harmony.

Feature Post: The Rule Of Thumb

 Back in the 17th century, various traders made deals where quantities were measured by the comparison of width or length by thumb. This method has its merit and rings of wisdom still today.  In the early days of no measuring tools, improvisation was the answer for the lack of precision calibrating. Now its commonplace to quote some of these cliches in our daily conversations. Some examples are: look both ways before crossing, there's a calm before the storm and where's there's smoke there's fire. One of my favorites is, you'll see lightning before the storm. That's a prevalent occurrence that can also mean, a warning may come in different forms before an incident befalls you. I practice  an easy rule of thumb quite frequently and it always keeps me in line. What would your wise self do? Record this little gem in your memory bank and refer to it whenever relevant, it will bail you out every time.

Keep It Fresh

 

As time goes, on things get to be almost too routine. Having a daily plan and living it day in day out checks off all the boxes in life, especially in relationships. Many times routines can come back to cause turmoil, it can happen in a flash. Be aware of this threat and defeat its results. Live vivaciously, involve your partner and family, be creative, stay up on fashion, technology and worldly events.Young  and old take heed. The continuance of a bounteous way of life, means keeping the "zest'  in your step and never letting the well run dry. Don't allow the weeds to take root and choke off your lifeline of exuberance.

From the moment we have conscious thinking it's obvious life has some order. Realize where you fit in. Find that territory and define yourself, or not! Wisdom tells us knowing and understanding ourselves, offers the best possible outcomes throughout life. Embrace who you are and you will find that "insight', leads to a legacy of distinguished deeds.

Give A Kind Word

A kind word goes a long way to touch a persons life. You never know how powerful a single word or sentiment can do to someones day, attitude or mood. Don't hold back, be impactful grab hold of that fleeting moment and you'll make that encounter of inspiring consequence.

Feature Post: Behind The 8 Ball (Cardona/Mercado)

Each new day can have it's ups and downs. We know they'll be many balls in the air. What needs to be avoided, is having that one ball divert your course. Sometimes you don't have a choice, but when it does, the dancing begins. You might be forced to drop some balls or pick up others. Your day starts without a hitch, on time clear minded and ready to go.There's three items on the "to do', list that needs to be taken care of, the bank, car inspection and post office. Well, the bank lobby was packed with people and the drive through was even worse. Ok, then the car inspection appointment becomes a time sensitive issue...the bank will have to wait. Onward to safeguard the car for another year. On the way there work calls and needs your attention for over thirty minutes, which makes the inspection late and landing you at the end of the list or reschedule. Thinking...suddenly the phone rings and its your child's school calling to discuss an important matter. At that point you're talking out loud! What to do? You can only energize from within to deal with the legend or resign the day to being captured by the proverbial “8 Ball".

Play Your Cards...

 

The dealer is doing his job. Seemingly always impartial. It's kind of like the roulette wheel, where it will go can be good or bad. We can only match wits with the best of our abilities. Stay in the game. Enjoy the competition, don't ever think you can't win. For, when that mindset takes hold it leads to nowhere. The game is made up of players who should never throw in the cards!
