Waking Up Timely

No need to start in a fury or a scurry, no need to

hurry. This all makes sense if time is taken to

plan the steps taken.

No matter where you are a smooth entry into any day

leads to composure. Father time means everything, like

a timekeeper to a futbol match, the boss that’s watching his timepiece

or the timing officials at a marathon race-

we can be our own timing gear.

Plot the days ahead, as precisely as possible- priorities drive the agenda

We wind our body watch ticking like a musically tuned metronome.

Family, work or social events all beat to our movements.

Within the framework of those obligations each item devours its needed allotment of minutes to which it ends.

The only way to live the day, is by chaperoning the clock and nimbly watching it tick away.

Said and Done

It’s not always some fun; hence you say:

“Offering help my friend!”

During a stirring chat with any good friend

I can tell when a favor is needed.

Friendly neighbor:

Collect my mail for the next few days off,

To diffuse… Days gone by,

it is done.

Friendly co-worker:

Can you cover my shift, I’m behind in school?

The day draws down, it is done.

Family tie:

Provide patronage for our little one, a night out

 Is imperative.

Coverage is completed; it has been done.

When something is “said,” in a case of a need,

It very well has a purpose, to solicit a helping hand

From someone of trust.

Listen with an open heart, understanding their position.

Comply if you will, always remember your word and principles

Are on display.

It surely embodies the spirit to be the one,

That follows the “said,” and gets it “done.”

That's Your Opinion

Can’t pass it off as fact

Looking for most to react

No matter how confident the interact

People in the know, find it’s not really exact

What one believes has its impact

Only if the essential facts are not, counteracts

The voices of reason by any season should not,

Underestimate the recognition of verbal treason.

The Little Things

The Little Things

That can bring the most cheers

A friendly face of an unknown can mark a day.

A gesture of support, of a life decision

To have a stress-free day at work

There's a lot at play.

Hugs and kisses from a grandchild

Lifts consciousness and spirit.

A slow drive alone, reminiscing

About the first car, first kiss

Produces gratitude and zeal

Obliging the journey’s heartfelt past and present.

So, I'm Told

Trying to get a hold onto me.

Anyone can see a ploy, to have a look-see.

Surely, you don’t mind how it should be?

Privacy and self-determining are key.

Everyone else is on your must-see.

Many of us are very dissimilar, wouldn’t you agree?

Gotta Know When

Gotta Know When

To play your cards.

Instinctively you can gain rewards

Keep them close at the ready

A steady hand is worth plenty.

Words or deeds are in your stable

Makes the moment very able.

If you’re asleep at the wheel,

At that point in time being

caught in the twine,

Undoubtedly, that lapse…will break the deal.
